Car enthusiasts will be showing off their classic cars. The car entries must be
at least 25 years old, and will be judged in various categories.

BMX/Skateboard
Competition (Located at Avon's Skate Park - 36744 Detroit Road):
In divisions of U14 and 14 years & older, the
youth will match their skills in skateboarding and biking. Each competitor will be given three minutes to perform his/her
skills for a panel of judges. Awards & prizes will be given away.

Scarecrow Exhibits (located in The Olde Avon Village
- 36840 Detroit Road):
Creative individuals are welcome to join in the competition to design an amazing Scarecrow display.
All exhibits will be available for viewing in The Olde Avon Village. Local radio personalitie s will
judge the displays to determine the $500 Grand Prize winner. Additional prizes will be awarded for 2nd, third
& children's categories.

Pet Adoption Center with Dick Goddard (located
East of Avon's Senior Center - 36784 Detroit Road):
Looking for a new "furry" family member? Stop by the Pet Adoption Center with pets available from
Friendship APL and Love-a-Stray. Don't forget to bring donations of desperately needed pet food, blankets and pet accessories.
Another
special feature this year will be Dick Goddard, meteorologist, author and animal activist. come to the Adoption Center
and meet Mr. Goddard at 1pm on Saturday, September 7th at 1pm, where he will be speaking about the bill officially known as
"Dick Goddard's Act".
